Our super secret tour features homes and spaces that were important in the lives of San Francisco's most notorious 60's icons.
Haight Street Icons of the Summer of Love Tour
Your tour starts with music. Blandina Farley, artist and professional guide, will lead you through the galleries at the brand new Music City Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
Next, hop into a lux SUV to cruise past homes of notorious artists like Graham Nash, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Hunter S. Thompson – sandwiched between the vibrant and ornate Victorian Homes of the Haight Ashbury. Pass by the safe house where the Symbionese Liberation Army held Patty Hearst captive, or the Maison Bleue, especially signifant for our French guests.
You'll leave the car to stroll Haight Street, snap a selfie under the Haight/Ashbury street signs, buy your tie-dyed shirts, or browse the stacks at Amoeba Records.
End at the Hard Rock Cafe for a few last stories from Blandina.
We will pick you up at your hotel.
Hard Rock Cafe, on Pier 39.
Up to six guests of any age are included in one price.
You can pop into one of several historic bars for a shot of Janis Joplin's favorite vocal warm-up: Southern Comfort. Grab a snack at Hippie Thai, or local favorite, Cha Cha Cha. Shop for some tie-dye swag, or spend your last paycheck on a pair of ultra hip John Fluevog shoes. But... these splurges are suggestions and not included in the tour price.
